报告人简介：Guido Erreygers教授，比利时安特卫普大学经济学院教授，鲁汶大学客座教授，澳大利亚墨尔本大学访问学者。主要从事经济思想史、自然资源和经济增长、社会经济健康不平等的测量和分析等研究。

报告摘要：The current COVID-19 pandemic has attracted significant attention  from epidemiologists and economists alike. When the Spanish Flu epidemic broke out in 1918–1920 economists remained virtually silent. The lecture examines the reasons for this silence.
